INTRODUCTION
This test monitored power usage in order to determine the kilowatt-hour consumption of RTU-1
(Roof Top Unit) and RTU-2 air conditioning systems at the Bank of America branch at Loop 360
and US 183 in Austin Texas.

METHODOLOGY
Energy consumption of both units was monitored simultaneously for one week before and one week after treatment with
Permafrost. The first and last days of monitoring were partial days and/or included the period while Permafrost was being
installed. Therefore, these days were not included in the report.

OBSERVATIONS:

  • Total energy consumption before permafrost: 654 KWH

  • Total energy consumption after permafrost: 524 KWH

  • The net reduction in energy consumption was 20% for the period.

  • The weather conditions during the monitoring period was variable, however, the before and after weather conditions were
    similar.
